Esports organization Panda Global has just launched a Kickstarter for a brand-new piece of technology that all Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fans might want to get their hands on.
This item is a portable GameCube controller adapter for the Nintendo Switch that also serves as a charging station and stand for the console when it’s in handheld mode.
At the moment, the only way to play Super Smash Bros. Ultimate with the GameCube controller is to play the game while it’s in docked mode. This device, therefore, should offer a good alternative for those who like to play the game on the go instead.
To make the project a reality, Panda Global has partnered up with GearHawk Studios to form Panda Hardware. The team is asking for $55,000 for the project and is offering a range of incentives for anyone who donates cash toward it, including copies of the tech itself.
If it reaches its funding goal, the company has already set up a list of stretch goals that will greatly improve the project. These stretch goals include the option to adjust the viewing angle of the Switch on the dock, along with additional functionality.
At the time of writing, the Kickstarter campaign is close to reaching its goal after a couple of days and still has a month to raise even more money. So if you want to get your hands on this device for a cheaper piece, it might be worth investing into it.
